Watch any high-level match and the difference between players often isn't stroke quality — it's how efficiently they get into position to hit that stroke. Footwork determines whether a player strikes the ball in balance, on time, and with full power, or scrambles to make a defensive contact.
We train footwork the same way we train strokes: with dedicated, structured repetition. Split-step timing, first-step explosiveness, and recovery patterns are drilled in isolation before they're integrated into live rally play.
The payoff shows up late in matches. Players with trained footwork maintain stroke quality into the third set, while opponents relying on upper-body strength alone start missing as fatigue sets in.
